Description
Precision Ceramic Cutter for Manicure and Pedicure Cuticles, Straight, No. 6
A professional, extremely precise ceramic bit for manicure and pedicure, made of zirconium oxide. Mainly used for shaping extended or built-up nails. Ideal when you need to reach tight spots and want a meticulously executed design. Perfect for people allergic to any type of metal!
The bit is marked as sharp—it will quickly remove excess gel or acrylic in hard-to-reach areas, near the cuticles, under the nail, or when you want to quickly remove material from the nail plate. Bits with a coarser grit (i.e., black, medium, or green) are ideal for podiatric treatments. All of this makes these bits multifunctional—they will serve you for a long time and for many tasks. It has a universal shank diameter, so it fits any drill with a twist-and-lock head (available for purchase in our stores). It can be successfully sterilized in an autoclave.
Main applications of ceramic bits:
- preliminary and final shaping of gel and acrylic;
- quick and precise shaping of fingernails and toenails;
- treating corns (the most commonly chosen option is the ball-shaped bit);
- treating calloused nails, periungual thickening, and calluses; for podiatric procedures (spike, cone);
- shaping extended nails (using precise, fairly sharp, narrow bits, e.g., for a pointed shape);
- removing gel, acrylic, or hybrid polish (cone and/or cylinder);
Ceramic bits are gaining more and more fans due to their main advantages: high durability and heat resistance. The issue of bits overheating is usually encountered by inexperienced stylists or manicure enthusiasts whose skills are not yet sufficient to sense the moment when the bit’s temperature rises. The consequence of this is discomfort and, unfortunately, often damage to the nails and nail matrix. The ceramic drill bit is made of zirconium oxide, which is durable and resistant to mechanical damage and does not heat up like, for example, a carbide drill bit. The material from which the drill bit is made facilitates cleaning and allows for sterilization. Specially designed transverse cuts file through gel, acrylic, or hybrid materials.
